moonbase

Where and how MoonBase runs

Network and hosting

MoonBase runs on dedicated infrastructure. Our primary infrastructure provider is Hetzner Cloud (Nuremberg, Germany), with CDN and edge services provided through Cloudflare.

Regions:

  • Primary: EU (Germany) — single region
  • CDN: Global edge via Cloudflare

Static assets are served from Cloudflare’s global edge network. Dynamic deployments run on dedicated compute in our primary region.

Uptime and availability

MoonBase is currently in beta. We do not guarantee a specific uptime level during beta.

Planned maintenance is communicated in advance via our Status page.

Storage

Project files are stored on encrypted volumes. Database storage uses Supabase (Postgres).

Backup frequency: Daily

Backup retention: 30 days

Compute

Dynamic deployments run in isolated containers. Each environment is resource-limited to prevent one project from affecting another.

CDN and performance

Static files are served through Cloudflare’s global CDN. Cache headers are set automatically based on file type.

Dynamic deployments are served from the primary region. Response times vary based on distance from our EU data center.

Data residency

MoonBase’s primary data residency is in the EU (Germany). If your use case requires specific data residency guarantees, contact us at [email protected] before signing up.

Security measures

MoonBase does not currently hold SOC 2 or other third-party security certifications. Our own infrastructure practices include TLS encryption, per-site container isolation, database-level access controls (Postgres Row-Level Security), and two-factor authentication for account access. See our Security page and Compliance page for the full detail.
